I am married to Pablo and we have 5 children ranging from 37 to 17 years of age. We also have 4 grandchildren.

I graduated from the University of Cape Town with Honours in Social Work and have been practising as a Social Worker for the past 22 years.

I have been in private practice since 2005. In 2004 I did my Imago Relationship Therapy training with Hedy and Yumi Schleiffer and it has enriched my life both personally and professionally.

Married for 30 years to Len. Two Children, Nina 24 and Christopher 26.

Did the Imago Basic Clinical Training in 2004 , advanced trainings Addictions and Affairs with Maureen Brine, The Art of Presenting with Maya Kollman, Charaterological with Bruce Crapuchettes as well as with Rebecca Sears. My special gift and passion is training. I love the interaction with groups and enjoy working with women. It gives a great thrill to teach the basic priniciples of the Imago Theory and the dialogue and to see how connections are re-established.

I have been working with my husband for the last 19 years,running the general administration and bookkeeping in the office. I have introduced our employees to the Imago theory and dialogues, and realised that Imago has a rightful and huge role to play within business. I have thus extended the relationship coaching to improve relationships in the workplace.

I use the dialogue to resolve conflict in business, in political parties, in families as well as in couples. I have been a member of the Imago Peace Project and hope do play a meaningful role in restoring relationships in South Africa.

Married for six years to Lou, who is in publishing and farming. They have two children each, ranging from 18 – 32 years. Alison is a Clinical Psychologist (20 years), concentrating on long-term psycho-dynamic work. She does quite a lot of relationship therapy, and feels increasingly at home in Imago – a fresh and invigorated outlook on couple therapy. Alison completed her Imago clinical training together with Lou as a “young couple” with Maureen Brine in 2005/2006. Lou as partner / educator.

Alison’s dream is to take Imago work to a small olive farm that she and Lou are developing, to offer couples a combination of therapy, fun and relaxation.

We are married for 36 years. We have 4 sons and 3 daughters in law. We are also privileged to have 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. We are living in Melkbosstrand, close to Bloubergstrand.

Because we also often struggle with the pain of misunderstanding in our own relationship, it is our passion to guide couples in relational healing and growth.

Francois has a Doctoral degree in Marriage Therapy. He is also a Certified Imago Therapist, an Imago Couples Workshop Presenter and an Imago Individuals Workshop Presenter. Riana is an Imago Educator. Francois and Riana work together in the Session, when they see a couple for an Imago Therapy Session.

We co-lead Getting the Love you want Weekend Workshops for couples. We also co-lead Keeping the Love you find Weekend Workshops for individuals. The dates for these Workshops are on the Cape Town Imago website.

Intrigued by the profound importance of effective communication in relationships, Wendy uses the Imago methodology to create awareness, unblock interpersonal barriers, and coach dialogue techniques to unlock the full potential of relationships.

Wendy provides a safe and conducive environment for exploring opportunities to deepen connections, and is passionate about assisting clients to develop insights and new skills, and to rediscover hope (and fun) in their relationships.

Wendy’s work is scientifically grounded, with her MSc(Psych) thesis focusing on the effectiveness of Imago Relationship Therapy. In addition to private sessions, Wendy also facilitates Imago education and awareness workshops. Wendy is married (18 yrs) and has two loving teenage daughters.

As couples therapist and Psychologist, Marina has counselled between 600 and 700 couples over the past 17 years. Constantly aware of best practises, Marina was one of the first therapists to be certifed as an Imago Relationship therapist.

She is currently the leading Imago workshop presenter in the Western Cape, offering the Imago Getting the Love You Want Weekend workshop for couples. This two-day workshop helps couples to heal histories they bring to and create in their relationship, and to rediscover the joy of being together.

Marina contributes as expert to radio programmes and magazine articles. Marina is married (17 years) and has two children, aged 11 and 6.

A decade in business and two degrees in education (UCT) preceded Karin’s work as a pioneer of S.A. Gifted Education. As a meta-cognitive educationist and life-designing relationship coach, during her 19-year private practice, she has evolved a totally unique approach of combining several power modalities (1) Imago relationship skills (trained 1999) (2) Whole-Brain Life Designing (trained with originator, Dr. Elisabeth Dostal), (3) Meridian Energy therapy (trained with originator, Dr. Roger Callahan). Her clients become skilled at successfully applying these modalities in a very practical manner.

Her greatest passion is (a) to demystify how our brains work, (b) to train clients in dissolving their worst blocks and (c) to teach 3 generations how to reach affectionately across the chasm of “otherness”. Intergenerational cherishing connectedness allows even the very old to experience much deeper meaningfulness and opens up all relationships to possibilities that could not exist before - even worldwide via Internet video conferencing.

Karin relishes being in the Cape Town Imago “team” which is a living example of the value-sharing connectedness that can be achieved.
